Blah. I haven't been writing because there hasn't really been anything going on - plus I wonder just how many people read my blog. It's starting to feel outdated and let's face it: "The Little Black Dress" is quite a lengthy blog name that I'd come up with I don't even remember how many years ago (and I'm not so sure is very relevant anymore). The REAL issue though, is formatting. I hate - with a passion - the formatting of Blogspot. It's hard to use, you don't have very many options, and you're left fiddling with aesthetics hours after you would have liked to be done and posted. I vaguely remember a notice from Blogspot saying that they'd made changes and made it "better" to use. I vaguely remember opting for this new system. I don't actually remember what the differences were, but Blogspot is still difficult to use! I shouldn't have to fight my blog to get a post up, even if it is about nothing other than cats.
Anyway, enough complaining.
I work with Wordpress for the anime blog, and in comparison to Blogspot, it's much, much easier to use. The formatting is more straightforward, you have more options as to how you want things to look (size, style, images, captions), and it has jump-to-ability (which is the ability to put only a paragraph or a sentence on the main page and have a "jump-to" link for the remainder of the post. Don't know if Blogspot can do that, but if it can, I haven't found out how yet, and believe me, I've been looking.)
I still have issues with Wordpress here and there (like how the pre-post page never looks the same as when you actually post) but overall, I prefer it over Blogspot.
... Not that I'm going to abandon Blogspot here and now. I think, if anything, I have to think more about whether or not having a personal blog is relevant anymore.
