Renovations

People who grew up with me and know my parents' house, know the state of the kitchen: cluttered, messy, and impossible to find anything unless you really know your way around. I remember on a few separate occasions, when my parents were away on trips, my brother and I would scour the kitchen (cabinets, fridge, freezer) of whatever we thought we didn't need. ...And then get in trouble for it when my parents returned.

Anyway, my Mom has wanted to redo the kitchen for a few years now, and this year they finally got down to it. Here are a few photos showing the process of cleaning up and the complete makeover of the kitchen. They're still waiting for it to be completely finished, so those pictures will have to wait. I'm definitely excited though, since this is a much needed change. Let's see how long this new kitchen will stay uncluttered....

 the old kitchen: stove

the old kitchen: sink

the old kitchen: counter "space"

kitchen stuff moved into the living room

the new kitchen

the new kitchen: other side

new faucet: goose neck spray

Impressive, eh? I know. Can't wait to see when it's fully functioning with the fridge and stove in place. My Mom's promised to let me bake in her new kitchen, haha.
