All the boys and girls.
Joy to the fishes in the deep blue sea.
Joy to you and me!
I used to be a HUGE fan of Polaroid, particularly the Joy Cam. I have one, actually; I just can't afford the refill cartridges. But with digital cameras being the most common tool of photography these days, it's not likely we'll find those fun Polaroid photos hanging around our homes...
Or will we?
I recently found a program that takes digital photos taken with a digital camera (or a photo taken with a regular camera that's been scanned onto a computer) and "Polaroids" them. Here's an example:

Fun, eh? Here's where you can download the program: Poladroid
I've been going crazy with this program, Poladroiding nearly every photo I have. You may have to resize or crop some of the originals so that it fits within the "Polaroid" frame; and some photos, you'll find, just don't look good in the Polaroid style. But since you're not paying for the Poladroid exposure, you can "take" as many as you like, altering as you go, and deleting any that didn't turn out without the heavy cost. The Poladroided photo will be a smaller file size because it basically takes the "focal" or "centre" of the photo and converts that, cutting out the rest and adding the frame. The resolution, however is pretty much the same, so you don't have to worry about not having pretty quality pictures after the process.
Now go and spread the Joy.
